J Stalin has been a staple of Bay Area since the hyphy heyday in the mid-aughts and he's still going strong. After releasing the 23-track album Tears of Joy last fall, Stalin announces his next album, On Behalf of the Streets 2, and liberates the lead single, "Could Be Worse" feat. K. Camp, an uplifting cut that channels the spirit of ScHoolboy Q's "Blessed" and gives thanks for each day.
On Behalf of the Streets 2 will be released on October 28, the 10-year anniversary of his debut release of the same name. Features include G-Eazy, Neo, K-Camp, The Jacka, Nef the Pharaoh, Philthy Rich, IAMSU, Rayven Justice, and more. All 23 tracks are produced by The Mekanix. Quotable Lyrics
Everyday I wake up in the morning
I'm just thankful for the day
'Cause shit could be worse
Hold those feelings, wipe ya eyes
Ain't no need for you to cry
'Cause shit could be worse
