2013's Forbes Atlanta mixtape was a demonstration of the collaborative power of Sonny Digital and Que, and while the two have worked together on a rapper-producer level since, "Trust Me Sonny," is a a reunion proper reunion complete with equal-billing. The chorus is immediately reminiscent of Makonnen's recent banger, "Trust Me Danny," but from there, the record has an energy all its own, as the two rappers trade bars over some industrially-informed production, bring an array of animated vocal deliveries that should make their peers jealous. The record is a perfect follow-up to "We Be On," proving the duo are back in a big way. It seems it might only be a matter of time before we see another project from the collaborators.
