Sampha is gearing up for the release of his debut album Process later this year. After dropping his single "Blood on Me" last week, he debuted a second song, "No One Knows Me (Like The Piano)," on Santa Monica's NPR affiliate KCRW. The song, originally titled "Mother's Home," is an ode to the piano he began playing at the age of 3.
“My mother was always solid" Sampha's brother said of their mother in the singer's Fader cover story. This is what you love, I’m behind you 100 percent. Take your time, don’t rush. Be ready to be knocked backwards. The music industry is not easy.'"
Quotable Lyrics
No one knows me like the piano in my mother's home
You assure me I have something, some people call it soul
And you drop-top the sky, oh you ride, when I was three years old
No one knows me like the piano in my mother's home
