The full immersion of French producer Brodinski into the trap world has been a gift to Atlanta and to everyone who appreciates the genre. His latest collaboration, released via his label, Bromance Records -- which has put out work with Hoodrich Pablo Juan, Bricc Baby, and Yung Booke -- comes with Johnny Cinco, a charismatic force outta Quality Control who's bringing new waves to his city. Their track, entitled "Get Me Some More," is at once new and familiar.
The living, breathing "Get Me Some More" instrumental makes use of an Indian flute melody and metallic, techno-like percussion sounds. It'd be a tough beat to navigate for someone not as loose and spontaneous as Cinco. Despite the far-reaching influences, the whole song is situated within the confines of a dingy trap house. "Get Me Some More" will appear on Brodinski's upcoming mixtape, The Sour Patch Kid, which will be hosted by Hoodrich Keem. The tape is due out on Sept. 12.
And just like that, Brodinski and Cinco have turned out the "Get Me Some More" video, directed by Will Hoopes. It's the perfect visual counterpart to this serpentine piece of trap magic.
