After releasing Da' Nic EP around this time last year, T.I. is getting ready to drop another short project with Us or Else. Today, He's shared "War Zone," a politically charged single from the project, featuring a refrain of "Hands Up, Cant' Breathe," a reference to Black Lives Matter protest chants that came to be following the police killings of Michael Brown and Eric Garner. This could be a sign of the direction Tip's new music will be going, and we're excited to hear more of it soon. The rapper has shared the song via Tidal, meaning that anyone without a subscription to the service will have to settle for a 30-second preview for the time being.
Quotable Lyrics:
Hey what you got a gun for? Boy you ain’t finna ride
They run up on you like Baton Rouge, bet you finna hide
That's the difference 'tween us, I'll die to save a million lives
Appointed leader when nobody couldn't think of shit
I'll be a martyr if my great grandaughter benefit
