Rikki Blu is a serious rap talent out of Dallas, TX. Pleasant Grove to be exact. Two days after releasing a quality track called "GLORY," he returned with perhaps an even better song called "ARTCHURCH." It's a tribute to his father, who turned 50 years old on the day he recorded it. "MY DAD IS THE ONLY REASON WHY I RAP FOR YALL," he wrote. "LET US BOW OUR HEADS."
Produced by Free P, who has also worked with Tim Gent and Curtis Williams, "ARTCHURCH" features creative gating alternatively inspiring and haunting/meditative. The energy level never wavers, even when the beat volume drops, as it is condensed like an urgent whisper.
Quotable Lyrics
My whole life been a prophecy, Momma said it was written
If you don't listen good riddance, pop a xan and don't feel it
But then again, I guess a little [?] would be nice,
Throw the alley, pop an addy on emotional nights
