Young Minnesota talent Allan Kingdom is back with his first new track, "Froze," since February's "The Potion." Since that time, he's sustained a healthy buzz due to the strength of his January tape, Northern Lights, and has appeared on a few interesting collabs, most recently alongside Denzel Curry and Boogie on "Today."
Allan is known for his eclectic range of styles, and on "Froze," he explores an icy trap sound -- with exciting results. "They left me out in the cold," he sings on the catchy hook, speaking from experience, "I had to get it on Froze, I had to get it on Froze." Without abandoning his deeper material, this loose, club-ready sound is well-suited to his charismatic singing flow. More where this came from, please.
"Froze" is produced by Dro as well as Allan himself. Check out Allan's appearance on Season 3 of On The Come Up below.
Quotable Lyrics
I think I'm losin' my chill
New n*ggas poppin', but don't got so much skill
Oh my, don't really know how to deal
They fans of me on the low just cuz I kill those guys
