Midwest emcee Meko Supreme has been making a few appearances on the site this year, but his new track “PLAE” is his hardest yet. Anchored by the idea that “the boys don’t PLAE,” Supreme follows the same philosophy as Marshawn Lynch: he’s all about that action.
Rapping over a rumbling, heavily distorted beat that sounds almost like a muted heavy metal guitar riff, Meko Supreme let’s his voice slide along with the melody and gliding bass. RYD handled the production, and the song has a nice co-sign from Supreme’s affiliate Cardo. His last song was a freestyle loosie over Gucci Mane's "Back On Road."
Quotable Lyrics
But everybody watching me
I guess I'm something that they gotta see
I spread the blocks like Monopoly
I'm optimistic, I just gotta eat
