Summer's Almost Over

It's that point in the summer where everyone starts to realize that it won't last forever, and Sean Brown's new single captures the feeling pretty well. "Summer's Almost Over" has the breezy feel of any great summer jam, but also a hint of tension and preoccupation. The instrumental, courtesy of JayFree is a collage of vocal samples, putting together an R&B-infused groove with some busy high hats. It makes for an effective barrage of sounds, keeping Brown on his toes while also settling into a certain nostalgia. It's another impressive offering from a promising talent.
