The eclectic Brooklyn-via-Chicago R&B singer/producer Jesse Boykins III returned today with a new project, Bartholomew, his first since 2014's Love Apparatus LP. The new tape includes a wide range of exciting guest features, from Dej Loaf to Willow Smith to Audio Push. Another rare feature comes from TDE's Isaiah Rashad, who's been silent this year save for a recent guest verse on a song from ATL artist Childish Major. Boykins and Rashad team up for a smooth, mystical jam called "Everybody Shut Up," on which they persuade a woman to block out the noise and focus on loving herself. It's an immersive listening experience, heightened by poetic splashes of spoken word delivered in a Caribbean patois.
