Ohana Bam is a rapper on the rise, hailing from Chicago, he's currently transplanted to L.A. as he works on his budding rap career. He's already made the right connections-- he's featured on Snow Tha Product's new record, "Get Down Low," and he's collabed with fellow Chi-towner Alex Wiley on "Bounce."
Today we're premiering a new solo cut from Ohana, "Blow Your Mind," that serves as a follow up to his mixtape effort Tree Up. Ohana is going all in with this record, shooting a music video for it out in the Chi. It's got definite crossover appeal, with uplifting, piano-laden production from D. Phelps and Jabari Rayford and equally motivating raps from Ohana.
Ohana says of the new record, "This song was produced & written in one night by D. Phelps & I in the basement of his home in Chicago. We've always imagined our music being played & performed in stadiums so that's what we aimed for with this one. I wanted to bring a crazy motivational energy that not only motivates me but others as well. "Blow Your Mind" is the perfect explanation for what we plan to do."
Take a listen. Mind blown?
Quotable Lyrics
I need all pesos
Want it all, case closed
I go balls to the wall til the wall can't hold
Til the ball game over
These boys can't hold me
