Consequence's new single samples the "Seven Minutes Of Funk" break, an iconic loop sampled on "Superappin'" By Grandmaster Flash, "It's My Thing," By EPMD and "Ain't No Nigga," by Jay Z, the last of which this one bears the most resemblance to. Ty Dolla $ign and Tony Yayo join, with Ty supplying a catchy, half-rapped, half-sung hook. It's a perfect feel for Cons' technical but very malleable flow. Consequence is also billed as the producer, arranging the loop himself and giving the track the throwback feel. The song should land on the Queens rapper's upcoming EP, Growing Up In New York, his second of the year so far.
