Listen to TAKA Black's "Sick (Go Head)".

While the rest of Atlanta continues its obsession with melody and triplet flows, TAKA is making some traditionally-informed double-time Southern rap. It's hard not to be impressed on a purely technical level on "Sick," but he takes things further than that, putting forth originality and charisma.

"At first glance, TAKA Black may confuse you," he writes of himself. "Dressed as though he just stepped out of GQ magazine, he resembles an R&B singer, but that couldn't be further from the truth. From the moment he hits the stage, The Atlanta-based rapper immediately obliterates any notions that he is anything but an MC. TAKA leaves audiences amazed by combining an aggressive, unique flow with high energy performances."

Quotable Lyrics:
All's my life I's had to fight
We gon' be alright, that's what Kendrick said
Starless night, when I grab the mic
I'll change your sight, you can't be prepared
