JR Castro drops a cover of "Love You Down," presented by DJ Carisma.

After sharing the video to his latest single, "Right Away," last month, Las Vegas R&B singer JR Castro is back alongside DJ Carisma of Real 92.3 in LA. The track they've put out today is apparently the first in a series of six, which will be rolled out on a weekly basis. "Love You Down" is a cover of the classic R&B song of the same name that was originally released in 1986 by the band Ready for the World. The song was also famously covered in 1997 by female R&B vocalist INOJ. Like "Right Away," the instrumental to Castro's version of "Love You Down" comes from The Audibles.

Castro has proven his ability to make R&B jams suited for the club, with tracks like the Timbaland-produced "FMN" and the Mustard-produced "Get Home" (featuring Kid Ink and Quavo). His "Love You Down" cover shows that he's also a student of the classic songs and emotions that his genre has to offer. Stay tuned for (a lot) more fresh work from Castro and Carisma.
