Finally, something new from Tinashe, one of the finest talents in R&B today. Her new single, "Superlove," is her first piece of new music since the track "Bullet" leaked in March. The month before that, she released a funky '80s cover song for Target as well as the Metro Boomin-produced "Ride of Your Love." It seems that Tinashe's hiatus has been spent working on her long-awaited sophomore album, Joyride, for which she recently postponed her international tour in order to complete. She wanted the next single to be a big one, and she's delivered with an immensely catchy track that's fit for the radio, the club, and the bedroom.
The pristine pop production comes from the reliable team of The-Dream and his right-hand man, Tricky Stewart. There's still no release date for Joyride, though hopefully Tinashe will come through before the summertime's over. It's been the better part of two years since her fantastic debut, Aquarius.
Quotable Lyrics
I'm tryna make ya, my baby daddy
Got me bouncin' on it, I'm acrobatic
You got me ridin' on that, ridin' on that, grindin' up in this bih
Got banana all in that split
