Jamila Woods looks for beauty in Chicago in her new collab with Chance the Rapper: "LSD."

A few days before her debut project, Heavn, Chicago soul singer Jamila Woods has shared a new track, "LSD," featuring Chance the Rapper, with whom she collaborated on "Sunday Candy" and "Blessings." The track is produced by oddCouple, the man behind "Morning Sex," the excellent opening track on Joey Purp's new iiiDrops album. "LSD" is more inspirational collaborative material out of Chicago, arriving at a time when the country needs it most.

"LSD" finds Woods remembering being enamored by Lake Michigan while driving down Lake Shore Drive as a child. Now an adult, she's searching for someone who will love her like she loved that water. It's also "a song for the complicated love I have for my city," says Woods, as she finds a beauty within Chicago that outsiders are rarely presented with. Heavn will be released on July 11 via Closed Sessions. Quotable Lyrics

Grass is greener in Pasadena or Catalina bottled water
Where the overlap between backpacks and bullet holes couldn't be farther
And I'm supposed to father my daughter
She the princess in the dragon's layer
I'm the dragon slayer, I can't fly away
That's on hideaway, I gotta find a way
- Chance the Rapper
