Montreal duo Frap Boyz (Young Troy and B. Cliff) have been gaining momentum after getting a placement on OVO Radio with "All My Dogs". Young Troy, one half of the group, who often supplies production as well as vocals, has also been steadily releasing solo material, but today, the two rappers have reunited on record for the first time since the release of their 2015 EP, FRAPCITY.
Produced once again by Troy, "Bands" ventures further into the dark, sedated, R&B-infused style they've been fine-tuning over their recent releases. As usual, there are many small touches in the production that add complexities to their formula, setting us up for an infectious hook that insists the duo are ready for the big leagues.
Quotable Lyrics:
I was fucking broke, all alone
No one hit me up
I was in the cold
Selling coke like convenience stores
