The old adage goes: all rappers want to be athletes, and all athletes want to be rappers. Many have tried to crossover; most have failed. Not among these failures is Portland Trailblazers point guard Damian Lillard. Rapping under the nom de guerre Dame D.O.L.L.A., he has impressed the internet with his lyrical wit and tenacious delivery, most recently on Jahlil Beats-produced banger "Talk To Em."
Tuesday night he delivered another fiery number called "Ready For It," in which he raps confidently over frantic orchestral production from ol' Jahlil.
Dame averaged 25 points this season and was the only dude besides Chef Curry waxing three-pointers from 29 feet out. Let's see if he cooks up a mixtape this offseason.
