One of the longest standing OGs in the game that still raps (and does it well), Snoop Dogg, is gearing up for the release of his fourteenth studio album. Snoop revealed the cover art for Cool Aid last week, which itself was led by the high-energy weed anthem "Kush Ups" featuring stoner cousin Wiz Khalifa. That song alone had us pretty excited for Cool Aid, but Uncle Snoop drummed up even more anticipation over the weekend when he let Dr. Dre debut six records off the album on his Pharmacy radio show. The Just Blaze-produced cut "Super Crips" has already made its way onto the world wide web, and now Jeremih-featured "Point Seen Money Gone" follows suit.
Snoop is picking out some choice beats for this album. Whereas "Super Crips" was more hard-hitting, classic g-funk sounds, this record leans a bit more in the pop direction. It's got the Bay Area bounce to it, with heavy synths and an airy vocal sample.
Stay tuned for Cool Aid to drop this Friday, July 1st.
Quotable Lyrics
I'm living the fast life
Jet after jet tryna keep my cash right
I knows you understand the meanin
Handful of green'n
Why the fans keep fiending
Straight up, no leanin, I'm right where the chips at
Or even in the hood where the crips at
