Houston rapper Jevon Doe released his debut mixtape Story of My Life today. One of the tape's highlights is undoubtedly "Goin Up," which combines enthusiastic west coast drums with next-level jazz piano harmonies.
Doe taps his Atlantic Records patnah Ty Dolla $ign to sing the hook. Similar to his excellent Free TC bonus track "Westside," Ty Dolla couches shoutouts to various parts of the country in a proclamation of west coast pride.
