Que and Sonny Digital have long been fixtures in the Atlanta game. A few years back, they teamed up for the joint Forbes Atlanta mixtape, one of the biggest street tapes of '13, and they collaborated a couple of times last year, including on Que's hit single "Gucci Said." They're now working on another full project, and today, they've dropped the first track off the upcoming tape: "We Be On." Que and Sonny have also shared a music video to the new song.
"We Be On" arrives as each artist has been at the top of his game -- Que with his Lost Dawg EP and Sonny with his steady slew of rapping tracks, showing that he's far more than just a producer. He's back behind the boards on this one, though, and good thing -- as he hits Que with a blend of trap and EDM that's of the darkest possible variety. "We Be On" is clearly what a true collaboration between an artist and producer is supposed to sound like -- and we're looking forward to the chemistry they display on their yet-to-be-titled joint project.
Sonny Digital was the latest guest of our Behind the Beat series. Read his story here, and check out the new "We Be On" video below.
Quotable Lyrics
Red dot, whoa, turn n*ggas to John Doe
I smoke gas and I take meds
I sip purp and I drink red
If he my n*gga, I don't shake hands
Around here, we make bitches break bread
