With his debut mixtape, released in April, A$AP TyY indeed proved himself as the Mob's "Best Kept Secret." He's now back with a new track, "Tonite," that finds him slowing things down for a woman who's been keeping his bedroom lit as of late. The refined instrumental, a blend of shimmering keys and occasional sputters of 808s, is the soundtrack to a romantic evening, though TyY's slow, syrupy, and X-rated raps soon add a little bit of filth to the soft melody. TyY is intent on carefully building a sensual atmosphere, though the end goal is an experience of the most sordid variety.
As he goes, the content switches from lust to devotion. "Tonite" strikingly mimics the wanderings of one's imagination whilst searching for late-night intimacy. Revisit Best Kept Secret here, and look for TyY to be a major part of whatever the Mob has planned for Summer '16.
