Back in March, Kanye West debuted a new record, "Saint Pablo," which was partially named after his new-born son (at the time), Saint West. The song reflected on Kanye's portrayal in the media (and beyond), with a chilling hook from r'n'b singer Sampha. The record came after the release of The Life of Pablo though, and thus didn't appear on the album-- until yesterday, when Yeezy updated the album (for the gazillionth time, approximately) to include the "final" version of this song.
With that, we have a new stream of the heartfelt, piano-driven record, the proper CDQ, via Apple and/or TIDAL. Pick your poison.
Yesterday, Kanye West also announced a tour based around this song title, "The Saint Pablo" tour. Peep all the dates here.
Quotable Lyrics
Black on black lies is worse than black on black crime
The Jews share their truth on how to make a dime
Most black men couldn't balance a checkbook
But buy a new car, talkin' 'bout "how my neck look?"
Well... it all looks great
Four hundred years later, we buyin' our own chains
The light is before us brothers, so the devil workin' hard
Real family stick together and see through the mirage
The smokescreens, perceptions of false reality
Who the real owner if your boss gets a salary?
