OSIRIS is a rapper out of Yonkers', and listening to his new track, it's not entirely surprising that he hails from the same area as The LOX. What might be slightly more surprising is the fact that he was born in 93, meaning that the very era he's referencing on his new music is far enough in the past that he couldn't have possibly experienced it as it was happening. This puts him in a similar category to Joey Bada$$, who works off of second-hand nostalgia, but pulls it off magnificently. Not to go unmentioned is Mike Mitch, whose chemistry with OSIRIS is undeniable, and the back-and-forth between the two creates the urgency that is the driving force of the track.
Quotable Lyrics:
If they're funny bout my life
A n*gga never been a comic
Astronomic bars, panoramic roof
On top a two-door car
Focus (Feat. Mike Mitch)
