Drake's OVO Sound mix was a bit self-indulgent tonight, as he used it to premiere "4PM in Calabasas," Justin Bieber's "One Dance" remix, and surprise collab with Gucci Mane. That wasn't all, though -- he also dropped a wild remix of a "Pop a Perc," a buzzing track from Philly rapper Boone. The remix features French Montana and E-40.
French delivers one of his most animated verses in recent memory, having every bar rhyme with "Montana." Seeing that the production is little more than an amplified update of Eazy E's "Boyz N the Hood," the remix wouldn't be right without a boss from out West. 40 Water snaps and sprays all over the jolty beat. As for Boone, he's got a loose, energized flow with a voice that's somewhere between Meek Mill and YG. Think he could be next up outta Philly?
