Mozzy shares a sinister new track, "Respect My Gangsta," featuring E Mozzy and Kid Red.

Sacramento is often ignored in the California rap scene, though the state capital has finally found a hopeful star in Mozzy, who recently got a huge look by guesting alongside Young Thug on Nipsey Hussle's new record. Along with his critically-acclaimed Beautiful Struggle album, released in March, he's been spotted on collabs with Skeme, Nef the Pharaoh, and YG over the past six months. His new track, "Respect My Gangsta," features his crewmate E Mozzy, with whom he just dropped the joint Fraternal Twins mixtape, as well as Kid Red, who's hot off his new collab with Chris Brown and Migos

Instead of just his name, Mozzy wants to see some respek put on his "gangsta" -- which is responsible for the weight of his name in the first place. His brand of gangsta rap certainly commands respect, as it feels darker and edgier than most of what's coming out of the West these days.

Quotable Lyrics

I'm on some drugs that's illegal
I'm on some muddy, some pills
24 karat the chain, 24 karat the grill
