It's been fourteen months since Queens rapper Bryant Dope released his acclaimed mixtape Raw Dope 2. Now he's gearing up for the release of his summer EP How It Is Now. Today he debuts the EP's first single "We Got It" in an HNHH premiere.
Produced by Purp Dogg, "We Got It" is an accurate representation of Dope's flagrant bars if you haven't heard him before. The beat comprises of a creeping, understated synth line reminsiscent of Drake's "10 Bands," dramatic clock ticking, and ample use of the Kill Bill siren, which is so hot that it is apparently no longer an 808 Mafia signature.
Quotable Lyrics
Been the man since du rags on the block
Now it's Palace tees, Carhart jeans what I rock
Even Supreme since 14, I would cop
Just a fly Queens nigga, all the birds, they would flock
