Kanye West's a capella track "I Love Kanye" inspired numerous remixes in the immediate aftermath of The Life of Pablo's release. Though he's a bit late to the party, rising Swedish producer LIOHN may have the best remix yet, and he debuts it today in a HNHH premiere.
LIOHN's remix, entitled "LongLiveYeezy," incorporates fluttering synths and contortionist 808s and distorts and warps Kanye's vocals in a production style reminiscent of Kanye himself.
"Yes, 'I Love Kanye' is the only a capella track which makes it the easiest one to use, but honestly I just love the meaning behind it," LIOHN explains. "I interpreted it as a 'rant' that kind of switches directions and emotions constantly, and that's why I have those autotuned breakdowns and distorted drops to give it the dynamics the vocals deserved."
Kanye would be proud. If you want to hear more from LIOHN, his remix of Major Lazer's "Be Together" has garnered nearly 1.5 million SoundCloud plays in a month.
