Dead Man Walking

Dave East has been making waves in New York with his uncompromisingly gritty street records, and he's showing no signs of stopping. Today, he's dropped "Dead Man Walking," a bare-knuckled tour de force that finds Dave in his element once again, keeping his vocals reserved, but his rhymes surgical. He's playing the traditional New York game, but injecting it with a less insular energy, breathing new life into the formula by adding some new flows to the mix.

East gave us his Hate Me Now project last year, but by the looks of things, he's been recording some new material, and should be following that up soon enough.
