It's Thursday, which means Tim Westwood digs into his vault of golden hip-hop freestyles. Today's Throwback Thursday release is a previously unheard freestyle from Method Man, circa 2004.
Meth goes in over a minimalistic beat from Obie Trice, "The Set Up," for a good three minutes. This was around the time Method Man released his third album Tical 0: The Prequel (which didn't turn out to be Meth's finest moment), and it seems he was promoting the LP overseas when this freestyle went down-- they do shout it out mid-freestyle. Take a listen. You'll find a couple of weed references, a Cinderella reference, and more.
Catch up on all of Tim Westwood's vintage freestyles here, he's developed quite the list.
Quotable Lyrics
I drive a big ass truck
That's just big enough for a big ass butt
Every day, follow my lead and every day
I keep weed like all that I need is Mary Jane
Want more pay, give me more chips than Frito Lay
