Two potent (and surprisingly complementary) sound forces in the Dallas scene came together earlier this year when the rap trio The Outfit TX linked with production duo Stunt N Dozier. On "Look Into My Eyes," they created a haunting late-night jam that made lust and suspense one in the same. Already, they've returned with another new collab, "Bear Necessities," which will appear on The Outfit's Green Lights: Everythang Goin' mixtape. The new track also features burgeoning Dallas rapper Diego Money.
"Bear Necessities" also retains an ominous sound, though it's a bit more upbeat than "Look Into My Eyes," as Stunt N Dozier lace the new track with a playful melody of sharp strings and a winding synth line. The emcees are also apt to inject some humor into their lyrics, as evidenced by the song's title. For these Texans, though, the "Bear Necessities" don't consist of anything nice, and ultimately, the record will do fearsome things in the club. The light melody is countered with massive throbs of bass, and all of the artists -- each with his own style -- deliver confident verses in perfect tempo.
Green Lights: Everythang Goin' is sounding promising. More collabs with Stunt N Dozier are certainly welcomed.

Say she wanna wife me
I let her down nicely
She ask me am I leavin'
And, yup all in in my white tee
