Things have been going well for Chicago’s Famous Dex. He’s the most recent signee to Rich the Kid’s Rich Forever label, and has been pumping out new music, including the mixtape #OhhMannGoddDamm. Now we’ve got his next single “My Energy” from his Heartbreak Kid mixtape.
The track is more upbeat than most of Dex’s previous work, but it still retains that drippy drill influence thanks to Famous Dex’s charismatic ad-libbing and vocal work. The flute melody that floats through the song shows that Dex is expanding his sound, and we’re excited to see where he goes next.
