Seattle rapper and Moor Gang collective "first lady" Gifted Gab is well-known regionally for her hardbody flows, not so much for singing. But turns she can actually kinda sing.
Enamored with a new beau, she enters ballad-mode on her new single "Change Your Mind," rapping slowly but mostly crooning softly ("I don't feel rapping, I'd rather feel like a singer.")
"Change Your Mind" features some slick guitar runs, "Careless Whisper"-esque saxaphone riffs, and an all-around sensual, dimly lit atmosphere set by the vaunted production duo Antwon Vinson and Ben Hamaji. The song will appear on Gab's upcoming project Gab The Most High, out May 23.
Quotable Lyrics
Take me down
Do me like you Floyd and come and give me rounds
Not usually a toy but come and play me now,
I ain't never felt this way about a nigga
How you eat me out like I'm out yo' dinner
