P the Artist is a new face out of Cleveland, Ohio who made his HNHH debut in December with "Finessin." He's now back with his new single, "Morning After," which features the star talents of Kirko Bangz and Wale.
"Morning After" is a slow-burning romantic track that can be played before and after the fireworks. P has a knack for simple and sensual lyrics -- "I brought some liquor for us, to blame it on afterwards" -- and he sounds like a compelling new voice in R&B. Wale drops the first verse and Kirko comes on midway through the track with a melodic effort that's more akin to the singing of P the Artist. Nothing sounds forced on the three-man collab, which comes over a minimal synth production. Simplicity is key for bedroom essentials like this one.
"Morning After" will appear on P's Heartbreaks & Hennessy mixtape, which is coming soon.
