Ye Ali has a little something for the ladies this afternoon, following up his collaboration with Jazz Cartier, "Ring." The singer/songwriter/rapper gains in clout with each new release, although he's definitely not rushing his come-up. He seems like a dude who has a well thought-out plan.
"Serious" features production from Yung Anf and Ye Ali, starting out with some plunking keys, before the 808s come in, giving the song a bit more weight (and coinciding with Ye's line, "I'm 'bout to make it bang, girl you an 808.") The rest of the song is just as much a dedication to one special girl (or, actually, a few special girls) that are on Ali's mind. He's serious about dem tings, but are they serious about him?
Stay tuned, this is just the beginning for the self-proclaimed Traphouse Jodeci.
