Do You Remember

Seattle, Washington's 40Groove immediately sounds out of step with rap's current trends. At first glance, you'd probably assume he's from the West Coast, as his new record is a smooth, funky record complete with talkbox and some silky melodies. In some ways it's reminiscent of DJ Quik, or perhaps 100s, who emerged more recently with an update on the glossy bounce. Either way, 40 has our attention, and we'll be keeping an eye on his next moves.
