There's something about Florida that brings out the extremes in people. Sylvan LaCue recounts his tumultuous life and returns (metaphorically) to his hometown Miami in a stunning new track called "Back to the City."
On "Back to the City," LaCue raps about hitting the road with his mother at a young age over wistful production from Wishlade and Linzi Jai, who produced LaCue's most recent singles "Fall From Grace" & "Emeryville."
The song's refrain of "I'mma be the one" is as much as boastful as it is reflective, mirroring the religious, truth-seeking themes that tend to run through LaCue's music.
Check out LaCue's exceptionally lit HNHH studio exclusive "Heavenly" and keep an eye out for Far From Familiar dropping April 8.
Quotable Lyrics
I'm from the city of gold teeth and mangos
Screaming the fuck the other side, anything goes.
And ain't nobody give a fuck about them popos
