Quentin Miller has had a prolific year. Tonight, he's back with his first new track since revealing that he got beaten up by Meek Mill and the Dreamchasers in a Nike store in Beverly Hills. Coincidentally (or not), his new song, "Going Back," finds him pondering a return to Toronto, aka the 6, aka the hometown of the man whom he ghostwrote for.
Producer Nick Miles is able to make a trap beat using old cartoon samples, and it bumps hard amid all its cheekiness. Miller raps about leaving his family behind and going back to "that comfortable room at The Hazelton," a luxury hotel in Toronto. "Going Back" is likely a tongue-in-cheek response to all the headlines about his encounter with Meek, though who knows...Views from the 6 is in its final stretch, after all.
Quotable Lyrics
Now I'm lookin' up flights, yeah
Now I'm takin' that risk, yeah
I'm goin' back to the 6, yeah, I'm goin' back to the 6, yeah
I'm back makin' anthems, I'm back on my shit, yeah
