Next up on our heatseeker radar is Yasir Hall’s banger “The Ballad of Jay Gats.” Hailing from Camden, New Jersey, Yasir has been grinding for a little over a year now, putting out a very respectable amount of music in that short time.
Easier uses his commanding voice to cut through a dense, operatic beat. He spits rhymes about the harsh realities of the hood and his commitment to rising above it all. For a relatively new rapper, he shows a wide ranging vocabulary and an ability to rap over a banging beat. Things are promising for Yasir, who calls himself "Just a kid from Jersey with a dope story and the gift of gab."
Quotable Lyrics
I been sick ya see, talking codeine comas
fingerfuck the world screaming "hold these scrotums"
it's easy to go mad at the top of the totem
the reason it's so sad, click-pop then it's over
