Kallay is an emcee out of Chicago, and he’s linked up with fellow Windy City artists MC Tree and GLC for the gospel-influenced joint “Church Music.” Of course, this isn’t really gospel music, as the three emcees spit rhymes about what makes their spirits whole, and it isn’t prayer.
The Ace La-produce beat continues the gospel theme, using organs and sampling doo-wop tunes for the melody. It all comes together for a unique sounding track that throws back to the era when most hip hop records were soul-sampling jams. What do y’all think of this one?
