Atlanta menace ManMan Savage just dropped his new mixtape, FreeManManSavage2, the sequel to the 2014 tape that first put him on the scene. One of the highlights of the new tape is "LAB," an FKi-produced collab with Key!, Savage's brother-in-arms. In addition to showing up in Future's "Trap N*ggas" video, the duo dropped a joint tape in October, Give em Hell 2, and they continue to put on for the Eastside of Atlanta.
On "LAB," Savage and Key! exhibit a warped take on the trap sound with the help of a grimy, minimal beat from FKi, who are becoming increasingly identifiable for the rawness of their productions. Savage's raps are slower and more cooled than usual, resulting in some highly entertaining punchlines. Key! relays a similar sense of patience with his flow, and though the collab isn't quite as intense as some of their past bangers, it certainly packs a potent sting, often the sign of an authentic trap joint.
