When you think about sources of dope music, North Dakota doesn’t exactly come to mind. However, singer/rapper Elhae is looking to change our perceptions, and he makes a strong case with “Doesn’t Matter” featuring Kehlani.
The track is Elhae’s lead single from his album All Have Fallen, and it’s a tightly constructed crossover track. Elhae seamless transitions from rapping to singing over a mellow trap beat. Kehlani sings the second verse with her usual effortless delivery.
Elhae explained to The Fader that, “working with Kehlani was dope… we’ve been friends for a while now so I felt it was only right to make that happen. I hope fans enjoy it as much as I enjoyed creating it.”
Quotable Lyrics
Back to the zone, care less about the shadow
cause niggas under me only helped me up the ladder
as much they be talking, they prolly push me up to Saturn
so tell me, does it really even matter?
