Strange Music introduced their new artist Darrein Safron in October by way of his guest appearance on Tech N9ne's "We Just Wanna Party". Safron spreads his wings today with the release of "That Me," an HNHH premiere.
"That Me" is a useful introduction to Safron's sound, which might be described as a mix between Justin Timberlake and Chris Brown. Safron paces himself nicely, starting off slow before kicking things up a notch in the second verse.
"That Me" will appear on Safron's The Brilliant EP, which drops tomorrow. "The “Brilliant” in The Brilliant EP shouldn’t be taken as cockiness," he told HNHH by email, "but as how “Brilliant” different emotions discovered through music can be. That’s how i felt when making this.”
