Denzel seems to have recently opened up to the possibility of a wider audience. While his music was once closed and insular, the Miami rapper has been ever-so-slightly making more approachable records, keeping the dark, aggressive feel he's made his name off of, while also embracing the hookier side of rap. On a new version of his recent record, "Knotty Head," which was premiered by Apple Music (another surprising move from the rapper), he's enlisted fellow Floridian, Rick Ross, who brings his versatile but decidedly less in-your-face delivery into Curry's world.
We're excited to see what other surprises Denzel has for us on his next project, which should be on its way soon.
Quotable Lyrics:
Jehovah's witness, swear to God
I done seen it all
Pickin' up the pistols every time the dogs bark
You pointing fingers, but the choppers cutting arms off
