Cormega & Gunplay may appear like an unlikely duo to collaborate, but their shared experiences surviving in the streets brings them together for "Guns & Butter," a rumination on street life and the justice system produced by Harry Fraud.
"Guns and Butter" gets its name from the 2001 film "Baby Boy," whic stars Tyrese, Taraji P. Henson, & Snoop Dogg): "You gotta learn the difference between guns and butter... Now what are the guns? The guns, that's the real estate -- Stocks and bonds, artwork you know shit that appreciate with value. What's the butter? Cars, clothes, jewelry - all that other bullshit that don't mean shit after you buy it."
All three parties involved brought their A-game here.
Quotable Lyrics
Pay attention it costs less than paying a lawyer
Taking advice could help more than taking an offer
That came from the court full of racists who judge on basis of color
We grace with, they hate us, we slaves no longer
