Dave East has been releasing an onslaught of new freestyles over the past couple months, but unfortunately it looks like that’s coming to an end today. A few hours ago, the Harlem spitter decided to take to twitter and wish Ms. Erykah Badu a happy birthday, along with the release of what he says is his last #EastMix over an Erykah classic “On & On.”
Going in over the 1997 Baduizm release, Dave delivers a slick freestyle about hustling, ladies, and of course flipping weight, referencing just about every drug under the sun in the process. It serves as his 4th release in the month of February alone, following his freestyle over “Work,” “Not In My Lane,” & “Got Some Work.”
Take a listen and let us know what you think.
Quotable Lyrics:
Nobody told me rap would work, I tried to hustle eighths
I bagged up dimes & nicks my mind don’t bricks don’t mind me bitch Im paid,
We hustle night to morning shifts no scale, had coke had pills had haze
I don’t know nothing that police ask me, pass me some more champagne
