Sango's flagship Da Rocinha series blends thundering 808s and razor sharp high hats with Brazilian percussive elements and Portuguese vocal samples.
The opening of his latest instrumental, "Life Without God Is Nothing," features a woman speaking Spanish rather than Portuguese. Thus begins one of the cleanest samples of 2016. Sango flex his mighty production chops, manipulating various drum sounds and experimenting around the periphery of the central sample, a chipmunk'd woman cooing: "Just too good to be true."
Sango's sample game is straight fire. The Grand Rapids-via-Seattle producer was featured in our first ever Behind the Beat feature. Check that out here, as well as Sango's production on Denzel Curry's Spaceghostpurrp diss track "Purrposely."
