M.I.A. is no stranger to controversy, before she got caught up with PSG over her pointed "Borders" music video, you'll recall she got into a tiff with the NFL over her Super Bowl performance, when she gave the world the middle finger.
In a similar lane to her "Borders" record, M.I.A. takes on social ideals or customs and flips them on their back. In a sarcastic reference to herself she raps, "Brown girl, brown girl, turn your shit down, you know America don't wanna hear your sound, boom boom, jungle music, go back to India." The song starts with a voice recording of what is presumed to be M.I.A.'s lawyer, speaking on the NFL lawsuit. She goes on to address the middle finger moment mid-song as well.
This song appeared in skit version on her album Matangi, but the full version was just released today.
Quotable Lyrics
Looking through your Instagram
Looking for a pentagram
All I see is poor people, they should be on ghetto-gram
You don't get our underground
Brofist or overground fist pump
Eat ham, or even throw your dick around
Yeah you try to stick around
Do you do you bikram?
