We've been waiting for Chicago chanteuse Jean Deaux to liberate her Soular System Vol. II project ever since she released the sultry "Stay" feat. Donnie Trumpet last spring. This afternoon, she shares another single -- a musical disquisition on the nature of the time-space continuum called "Father Time."
"Most would think this is a song about meeting my biological father two times in my life, which is true," Deaux told FADER. "But it's actually a metaphor for life and death, and how I've used my intuition to guide me during the time in between."
Quotable Lyrics
I don't know what you think about me
I know that you probably don't see
How it feels when you're losing your mind
And you tell the world you're doing just fine
