After making all his music free, Russ has built a substantial internet following by releasing approximately a track a week for the last year. As he he reveals on a new song "To Be Honest," the payoff from this risky strategy has been even greater than we suspected.
On "To Be Honest," which features a verse from Russ' Diemon Crew associate Bugus, reveals that he's been taking bids from multiple labels, including Lyor Cohen's venerable 300 Ent.
Damn son! As for that debut project, it's already done -- he's just waiting for the right time to drop it: "To be honest imma keep dropping these singles/ To be honest my debut is on my iPod."
Quotable Lyrics
To be honest I'm kinda poppin across the ocean
To be honest fuck your label and it's cross promotion
To be honest fuck every single industry plant
To be honest look all you got is industry fans
